I have a 2003 ford expedition.
2003 ford expedition brake lights not working.
Fuses have been checked and brake switch replaced still no brake lights please h.
The tail lights back up lights and signal lights all work but not the brake lights.
If none of the brake lights are working we are going to follow the circuit from the fuse box back to the brake pedal.
They work sometimes and sometimes not.
Jack if your sure all the fuse are okay then jumping the break light switch should at least allow the third break light to work.
When the switch is activated the lite green wire carries voltage to brake lites.
Driving without the brake lights working is just as unsafe as if your expedition s brake lights were stuck on.
Brake lights 1 answer.
See the diagram here the power to it comes out of the switch on the light green wire to the high mount lights and in on the lite green red.
The lite green wire with red tracer is voltage to the switch hot all the time.
This seems to be related to the pedal.
At some point the power is not getting from point a to point b.
Welcome to he forum if the high mount brake lite doesn t work check the brake position switch.
If bulbs bulb sockets fuses and brake light switch all appear to be good the fault is probably the turn signal switch.
We just have to find where that is.
