2004 gmc sierra tail lights not working.
I replaced all the brake and trailer related fuses and replaced the brake switch on the pedal and still nothing.
Recently been having issues with the rear taillight assembly.
Once and a while they will finally kick in and start working again.
On a 2004 gmc sierra service air bag message on there is no reset you have to take it to a repair shop and get the codes read to see what is causing the light to come on usually just a sensor when it is repaired the shop can use a scan tool to reset the light this would be the the only way to reset the light hope this helps good luck.
Burnt out light bulbs the other reason your tail lights are not working but your headlights are maybe a blown bulb.

When i checked the wires at the tail light only the wire that worked the turn signals had juice the other 3 did not.
In many instances you can see the break in the metal strip of the fuse.
Instrument lights not working when dash lights don t work odds are the tail lights don t work either sounds like dimmer switch may be a problem.

Replace the fuse but before plugging the trailer back in you need to search for a short circuit on the trailer that could cause the fuse to blow.

Noticing that some lights were not working thought the bulbs were burned out.
I own a 2004 chevy silverado 1500 v8 5 3l with factory installed 5k 12k tow package.
If the tester lights up your fuse is functioning fine.
If it does not light up then replace the fuse with another of the similar amperage and size.
When the filament inside the bulb breaks it cannot illuminate the gas enclosed within the glass cover.
